Worker Organizer : Washington

Amazon Employees for Climate Justice
Worker Organizer
Based in Seattle, WA
Amazon Employees for Climate Justice (AECJ) is hiring a Worker Organizer position, to be filled by June 2026 and based in Seattle, WA. We are seeking someone with experience and commitment to building worker power within tech and at Amazon.
AECJ believes we are in the midst of three intersecting global crises: 1) The climate emergency is worsening droughts, wildfires, and other extreme weather events at a scale that threatens the very foundations of societal stability; 2) Exponential AI breakthroughs pose an existential threat to jobs and the economy and risk further concentrating wealth and accelerating inequality if left unchecked; 3) In the US, we are witnessing democratic erosion and threats to our longstanding democratic institutions, mirroring trends towards authoritarianism across the globe.
Amazon, one of the largest corporate monopoly powers in the world, has an outsized role at the intersection of these existential crises. The company’s massive operations — stretching across 113 countries with 2.7 billion consumer customers and 1.5 million workers — give its leaders immense power to impact climate pollution, AI development, workers’ rights, and normalizing fascism.
For the past 8+ years, we’ve built a rigorous organizing program focusing on leadership development and solidarity with logistics workers and communities on the frontlines of Amazon’s operations. AECJ’s worker-designed structure and culture are rooted in relational organizing, anti-racism, anti-oppression, and intersectional justice. A majority of our membership and elected leaders are workers of color.
AECJ is deeply committed to anti-racism—not only as a core value but as a necessary strategy for building worker power. We recognize the importance of investing in the recruitment, development, and leadership of the majority-BIPOC tech workforce and ensuring our membership and leadership reflect this commitment. We know this requires intentionality, resources, and long-term investment.
Role Overview:
We are looking for a motivated, flexible, and collaborative Worker Organizer to help shape and execute our organizing strategy in Seattle. You will work directly with AECJ members and supporters to drive campaigns, develop leadership, and strengthen worker power. Prior experience in tech or climate work is not a specific requirement. We are looking for someone with a proven track record of member-based organizing, leadership development, and running successful campaigns.
