The Data Team of SEIU Local 32BJ is looking for a responsible and dedicated data and operations Analyst for the union’s electronic grievance tracking, database system, and other administrative operations. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Training and support of union staff in use of the CRM system, which is used to manage and track member-reported information
• Assisting with the development, deployment and debugging of our customized CRM instance
• Monitoring a ticketing system, prioritizing, and completing requests from union staff as they are received
• Updating customizations including templates for managing deadlines, data entry forms, and workflow management
• Provide reports to union staff, administrators, attorneys, and managers
• Support of ancillary systems for document production (SmartFlows), document storage (Sharepoint), and reporting (Qlikview, Excel).
• Other tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• 0-2 years of relevant experience
• Dynamic problem solver with keen attention to detail
• Training experience is strongly preferred. Ability to communicate complex concepts to those with a wide variety of technical backgrounds
• Ability to present analysis to staff, including effective oral, written and visual presentation skills
• Ability to identify opportunities for data collection and analysis that informs decision-makers
• Ability to travel and work extended hours, as needed
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Interest or prior experience in the labor movement and commitment to social justice is a definite plus
• Fluency in Spanish is a strong plus

Technical requirements:

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM or equivalent systems (e.g. Salesforce)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including excel, and other spreadsheet software
• Knowledge of business intelligence or other reporting tools (Qlikview, Tableau, Power BI) is a plus
• Experience with programming languages such as SQL or Python is a plus

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position is based in our New York City office with regular travel to other districts.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
The salary for this role is $66,280. 32BJ offers a generous benefits package that includes a fully employer-paid medical, dental and vision plan (for full-time employees and their qualified dependents) and retirement benefits, including a defined benefit pension plan and 401K. 32BJ offers paid time off including three weeks’ vacation, eleven holidays, twelve sick days, and, after the first year of service, four personal days.
