The Registered Nurses Professional Association (RNPA) seeks a skilled Association(Labor)/Organizer Representative who wants to develop local leadership, educate RNPA members on their workplace rights, as well as mobilize our membership around workplace and political actions.
As stated above, (RNPA) seeks an experienced labor representative to help organize and represent registered nurses working throughout the Santa Clara Valley Health and Hospital System. This position is in San Jose, CA and includes the following areas/facilities in Santa Clara County: Valley Medical Center, O’Connor Hospital and Saint Louise Hospital along with Psychiatric Services, Ambulatory Care/Services as well as Custody Health Services.
RNPA has been an independent Union representing registered nurses with all nurses on the Board of Directors working within the Santa Clara Valley Health and Hospital System (SCVHHS) since 1978. In 2019, the County acquired O’Connor Hospital, Saint Louise Hospital, De Paul Center increasing the RNPA membership significantly. RNPA is looking for a candidate that will be excited to work with nurses ready to educating these nurses on the RNPA MOU, MMBA, as well as building a strong RNPA presence at these hospitals.

The ideal candidate has had prior experience as a full-time labor representative, experience in organizing membership, and participation and developing rank and file leadership.
The Association Representative/Organizer is required to have a valid driver’s license, automobile insurance and a working automobile.
