Position:
The IATSE Training Trust Fund (TTF), a Taft Hartley Training ERISA Fund, has been selected as the Fiscal Agent for Pilot Program of the California Film Commission. The Career Pathways Pilot Program was created under the Film Tax Incentive 3.0 and aims to diversify the California Film Industry workforce. The TTF is hiring a Program Director for this 5-year pilot program. The Program Director is responsible for managing the fiscal agent responsibilities of the Career Pathways program, ensuring quality training is taking place and that the program is a success. This position reports to the Executive Director of the IATSE Training Trust Fund. The Career Pathways Program Director position is based in the IATSE TTF Burbank office.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor CFC Pilot Program training providers and ensures all deliverables are being met
  • Conducts training provider site visits and establishes relationships with training providers, local unions, mentors, program participants and others interfacing with the Career Pathways program
  • Completes program reports as required for the California Film Commission and State of California
  • Provides follow up and counseling services to pilot program participants with the help of the Career Pathways admin/finance specialist
  • Develop, implement and oversee a customized Career Pathways model mentoring program
  • Acts as a liaison between training providers, local unions and mentors
  • Oversees grant payables and receivables
  • Supervises the part-time Career Pathways admin/finance specialist
  • Other Career Pathways related projects as assigned by the Executive Director

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: BA
  •  Experience: 10+ years working for a non-profit, training/education or labor organization coordinating, implementing or managing programs. Experience managing grant run programs and meeting grant deliverables a must.

  • Strong project management, organizational and planning skills
  • Able to maintain composure in a very political environment
  • Excellent communication skills/style and able to communicate well with a wide range of audiences
  • Strong public speaking skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload
  • Previous entertainment industry experience a plus
  • Understanding of unions a plus
  • Bilingual a plus
