Internal Organizer

Based in Conshohocken, PA

The Internal Organizer is responsible for building and strengthening local structures including worksite leader identification, recruiting and and training leaders and activists and maintaining member motivation and union engagement. Union organizing experience preferred.

General duties include:

• Seek out, train and work with potential and active leaders
• Assist the bargaining committees with organizing for negotiations
• Maintain accurate lists of the bargaining units
• Work with union leadership on membership recruitment campaigns
• Engage members in union activities
• Develop and execute contract and workplace issue campaigns building member participation
• Prepare and manage work plans, calendars, files, reports and lists as needed
