The Minneapolis Federation of Teachers is seeking a full-time Political Director to manage its 2020 campaign.

Qualifications

• Experience working on electoral campaigns
• Familiarity with electoral field campaigns
• Familiarity with issue advocacy campaigns
• Professional manner
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
• Ability to collect, analyze, and synthesize data
• Experience with Voter Activation Network
• Competence in Microsoft Office
• Familiarity with issues around public education

Job Duties

• Assist in Writing and Implementing COPE Plan 2020
• Coordinate volunteer recruitment
• Coordinate campaign activities in field, communications, and political work
• Oversee implementation of political plan
• Engage members in political advocacy work
• Engage members in electoral campaign work
• Report to supervisor(s) in a timely, clear way progress on campaign work
• Implement post-election accountability plan for MFT
• Liaison between MFT and partners
• Monthly reports to COPE committee
• Manage MFT COPE communications
• Other duties as assigned
