Job Description
The National Association of Letter Carriers, an AFL-CIO affiliated union, representing 285,000 active and retired letter carriers is seeking a PAC Manager and Political Representative in its Department of Legislative and Political Affairs in Washington, DC.

The ideal candidate should be a politically savvy team-player and self-starter with excellent organizational, communications, problem-solving and time-management skills. In addition, the candidate must thrive in a fast-paced, challenging environment.

The position is based in Washington, D.C and will be responsible for maintaining the Letter Carrier Political Fund (primarily through CISION software), including all database maintenance, FEC compliance and monthly reporting and reconciliation; generating monthly reports on tracking, spending, budgeting and priorities; researching, compiling and processing of all PAC requests and related events; generating and providing regular reports on various legislative and political activities and priorities, bills and hill-related activity; managing the union’s candidate endorsement process and associated political programs; assisting in coordinating events; and other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or equivalent experience;
  • Three to five years’ experience with FEC compliance, labor, Capitol Hill and/or fundraising;
  • The ability to perform multiple tasks effectively under tight deadlines;
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills; and
  • A high level of interpersonal skills.
