Strategic Researcher
Based in Okemos, MI
The MNA is seeking a Strategic Researcher to support campaigns to build Nurse power, to raise the quality of healthcare and to advocate for a more just healthcare system.
The researcher will be responsible to provide strategic support for organizing campaigns, negotiations and public campaigns to improve patient care.
Qualifications and skills:
- Minimum 3 years labor, community, political or policy experience. Labor union experience preferred.
- BA or higher in relevant field
- Commitment to labor movement and social and economic justice
- Familiarity with corporate research, financial analysis, employment law or investigative journalism
- Ability to apply research to the development of strategic organizing campaigns
- Knowledge of healthcare industry preferred
- Excellent analytical and writing skills
- Proficiency in Excel and other databases
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
