The Michigan Nurses Association (MNA) is the largest, most effective union for registered nurses in Michigan. As the voice for RNs across the state, MNA advocates for nurses and their patients at the Capitol, in the community, and at the bargaining table.

The Director of Organizing is a professional management position directing the MNA organizing department. The Director must have the ability to direct staff and leadership from beginning to end of a successful organizing campaign. Must be able to plan, organize, and coordinate work activities to implement a long-term strategic plan. The Director oversees the progress and effectiveness of campaigns, assesses needs, identifies targets, and allocates resources.

The candidate must have a strong knowledge of labor unions and organizing as well as public and private sector labor laws. Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships, train and mentor staff, and build community alliances is essential.

The successful candidate shall possess a relevant degree and 5 years’ experience leading and organizing campaigns. NLRB experience and relevant health care experience desired. Competitive salary commensurate with experience and an excellent benefit package.
