About LFT
The Louisiana Federation of Teachers (LFT) is the state’s largest federation of teachers unions, representing almost 20,000 teachers and school related personnel in 60 parishes.

Position Description
LFT is looking for an experienced and savvy Media Relations Manager to oversee our outreach to news media in Louisiana, and coordinate internal and external communications. We are looking for a seasoned communicator who will be critical in telling the story of LFT and its members, as well as creating content that moves people. The right person understands organized labor unions, policy, media and the power of our stories to create meaningful change for educators in Louisiana.

Qualifications
Minimum Bachelor’s degree plus five years’ experience in journalism, communications or a related field, strong writing skills, expertise with social media platforms.
