Based in Pendleton or Hood River, OR

Oregon AFSCME Council 75 represents over 25,000 workers statewide in both public and private sector and is one of the fastest growing unions in Oregon. We provide excellent service and growth opportunity for our members and leadership with an emphasis on building power through solidarity. We are interested in individuals who are committed to moving the Union forward through member empowerment.

We are currently seeking to fill a Council Representative position with an individual that has a strong legal or quasi-legal background, organizing skills and experience representing employees. Our Council Representatives provide a broad array of technical, administrative and organizing skills to affiliated locals. This position requires quasi-legal expertise in labor and employment law, strong leadership skills, written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to build and maintain positive relationships and exercise good judgment. Representatives operate with general supervision and must be self motivated and able to prioritize and effectively manage a large volume of complex issues.

Looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity? We currently have a part-time (20-25 hours/week) position based in either Pendleton or Hood River, Oregon.
