Staff Attorney

Based in Upper Marlboro, MD
(Washington, DC metropolitan area headquarters)

The General Counsel’s office of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, AFL-CIO (IAM), has an opening for an experienced attorney in our Upper Marlboro, Maryland Headquarters.

Applicant should have three (3) or more years of experience representing labor unions and workers and be well versed in a variety of labor and employment laws. Applicants with ERISA experience preferred. Applicant must have a strong, demonstrated commitment to the labor movement and the needs of working families. In addition, applicant should be well organized and a self-starter capable of handling assignments with minimal supervision. Applicant also must possess strong people skills; excellent research and writing ability; and the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
