Overview
The Communications Workers of America (CWA) is a dynamic, member-led union that is building a movement for social and economic justice. We are looking for a Strategic Campaigner/Researcher to work closely with a multi-disciplinary team to organize new members and improve industry standards in the telecom and customer-service sectors. The Strategic Campaigner will help advance and bring this effort to scale through research, organizing, and strategic planning.

Job Responsibilities
The Strategic Campaigner/Researcher will report to senior CWA staff, and will have the following duties:

• Assist with strategic planning and goal setting in order to develop and execute successful organizing campaigns
• Conduct corporate and industry research
• Integrate research and analysis into campaign plan
• Plan, develop, and prioritize campaign strategy and tactics
• Write and communicate a campaign plan and develop campaign metrics
• Directly assist organizing efforts
• Identify and work with CWA locals and community partners
• Develop campaign materials
• Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications
The Strategic Campaigner/Researcher will have:

• BA degree or higher in a relevant field or equivalent relevant experience
• Union organizing experience, particularly in the private sector
• Experience in developing and executing campaigns
• Familiarity with corporate and industry research tools
• Experience in producing corporate and industry analyses
• Experience in producing campaign materials
• An excellent ability to communicate with, listen to, and move people to action
• High self-motivation with an ability to exercise independent judgment and initiative
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Proficiency in verbal and written communications, and with online tools
• Commitment to a progressive, democratic labor movement

Salaries and benefits will be determined in accord with the collective bargaining agreements between CWA and its staff unions.
