The Communications Workers of America (CWA) District 1 is hiring a Digital Media Associate. This is a full-time, temporary position with a competitive salary and excellent benefits.

Job Description

SUMMARY OF DUTIES
The Digital Media Associate will develop and implement campaigns to engage CWA District 1 members and allies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develops and implements comprehensive online campaigns to engage CWA members and allies.
• Develops strategies for email and SMS list growth and retention.
• Help produce both print and online materials for a variety of campaigns.
• Tracks and reports on key metrics related to CWA’s online campaigns.
• Provides training materials and resources for CWA staff, activists and locals on online communications.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Strong graphic design skills.
• At least five years’ experience managing digital strategy and content for a wide range of campaigns, including organizing, political, and legislative, as well as experience working with community allies.
• Expert knowledge of content management systems, social media, eCRM, email delivery and online survey tools.
• Experience developing and optimizing digital advertising, including social media ads.
• Familiarity with labor movement and commitment to economic justice and democracy.

DIRECTION AND DECISION MAKING
The Digital Media Associate reports to the Political Director.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
The position is based in New York, NY. The salary range is $56,294 – $79,320, depending on experience. A good benefits package is provided. The position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement.
