We seek a Data Analyst to manage member activity data across all of 32BJ’s geographies.  The position works to support union staff in tracking, reporting and analyzing member activity data in support of the union’s organizing, political and member engagement goals.  This position is based at the union’s headquarters in New York City.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Tracking, reporting and analyzing member data
• Training and supporting administrative and program staff in field offices to ensure consistent data tracking, to pull relevant list and other information from the database, and to institute processes that resolve data issues
• Creation and refinement of custom reports, lists and technical tools to assist and support union staff
• Analyzing member activity data monthly and annually to inform improvements on member engagement programs
• Improving data collection and entry procedures to ensure consistency and expand organizational efficiency
• Providing campaign-related data management and analysis during contract, political and organizing campaigns

Qualifications:

• Strong data management and analytical skills
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience with SQL
• Proficiency in MS Office, including strong Excel skills; ability to learn internal data and workflow systems required
• Familiarity with Qlikview and/or Tableau a plus
• Familiarity with Blue State Digital, Revolution Messaging, Voter Action Network tools a plus
• Experience with GIS software and CRM
• Attention to detail and problem solving skills, including effective problem solving
• Detail oriented and well-organized
• Ability to meet deadlines and multi-task a variety of on-going projects of varying lengths
• Motivated self-starter who can work independently, as well as be an enthusiastic team player
• Experience in the labor movement or with organizing or political campaigns a plus
• Commitment to social and economic justice a plus
