UniServ Director

Based in Augusta, ME

The Maine Education Association (MEA/NEA) seeks applicants for a UniServ Director position (UniServ District 9, K-12) in the Augusta Office.

Responsibilities include: membership promotion (recruitment and retention), negotiations, organizational development, grievance adjudication, political and legislative organizing, public relations, member advocacy and service, and training.

The successful candidate should have experience representing employees in educational or other employee settings. At minimum, a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience is required; a Master’s Degree is preferred.

Salary and benefits are as specified in the MEA/MEASO Agreement. Application deadline is July 21, 2017, with the position to be filled as soon as possible.
