Office Administrator

Based in Beaver Dam, WI

District No. 10 IAMAW is a statewide labor union that represents nearly 8,500 members in the manufacturing, transportation and woodworking sectors throughout Wisconsin. Our District office will be established in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, however, approximately two to three months training will be held in Milwaukee while preparing for the move to Beaver Dam. Some flexibility with hours will be allowed during the training period.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support for Director.
  • Compose and prepare correspondence when called upon.
  • Assist Executive Staff, including those in satellite offices, when necessary.
  • Arrange travel plans, itineraries and agendas.
  • Coordinate and execute billing and related reports on the Organization’s Bookworks program. Training on the program will be provided.
  • Reconcile all bank statements.
  • Execute bi-weekly payroll through ADP Payroll.
  • Execute Pension and IRA statements and money transfers.
  • Handle all in-coming and out-going mail.
  • Provide administrative assistance during state-wide political campaigns.
  • Other administrative support as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
  • IT knowledge a plus.
  • Letter composition, formatting and grammatical skills are of the highest priority as the position will require the Coordinator to exercise a considerable amount of independent judgement.
  • Organizational skills, prioritizing and multi-tasking are a must.
  • Independent worker with the ability to positively represent our Organization when greeting visitors, answering telephones and responding to email inquiries.

Hours:
Monday thru Friday; 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Wages:
If skills and experience are met, minimum starting rate would be $18.00 an hour.
If health, dental and vision coverage is not needed due to other coverage, $3.00 an hour would be added to the starting rate.
