The Air Line Pilots Association, International (ALPA), the largest airline pilot union in the world and the largest non-governmental aviation safety organization in the world (representing over 60,000 pilots at 34 U.S. and Canadian airlines) seeks an experienced Procurement & Facilities Supervisor for our Herndon, Virginia, office. The Procurement & Facilities Supervisor leads the team that administers ALPA’s procurement program and facilities and mailroom responsibilities. S/he oversees the duties and responsibilities required for contracting goods and services in accordance with the Association’s policies and works with ALPA’s national and regional offices across North America to ensure compliant and efficacious facilities management.
S/he provides advice and direction for real estate and construction renovation projects and oversees the compilation of market data and analysis of options. S/he also provides administrative oversight for all aspects of relocations including sourcing, negotiations, and leasing in accordance with the Association’s Constitution & By-Laws and the Administrative Manual.
Applicants are advised that relocation of our Washington, D.C. metropolitan area offices is in progress, from offices near the White House and in Herndon, Virginia, to Capitol Hill and Tysons Corner, Virginia. Anticipate completion in 2019.
Travel: 10 – 20%.

Occasionally required to move, raise, reach, and/or retrieve binders, books, boxes, and files up to ten (10) pounds (lbs.). While on travel, could be responsible to move, raise, reach, and/or luggage weighing as much as 50 lbs. (Assistance may not always be available.)
