In 2018, MoveOn will be investing in a program that aspires to have impact that lasts well beyond the 2018 election. Our ‘Resist and Win’ down-ballot campaign will elevate and support a new generation of state and local candidates who will be leaders in the progressive movement, modeling the sort of behavior we seek from candidates and elected officials, and helping shape and move the Democratic Party in a more progressive direction for decades to come.
As a Regional Director of MoveOn’s 2018 down-ballot program, you will lead the efforts in a region to identify, endorse, support, elevate, and work with dozens of inclusive, diverse, progressive candidates who are running for state and local offices–with an emphasis on young people, people of color, women, poor and working class people, members of the LGBTQ community, immigrants, Muslims, and other identities under-represented in the halls of power.
The down-ballot team will help great candidates win state and local elections, elevate inspiring candidates running movement-connected campaigns to national audiences, and tell the story of the work to media, donors, and allies in a way that builds progressive power and power for MoveOn for the long haul, helping to influence what the future of the progressive movement and Democratic Party look like.
