Position:
The IATSE Training Trust Fund (TTF), a Taft Hartley Training Fund, is looking for a full-time Program Specialist to conduct outreach, implementation and arrange for the logistics of select training programs of the IATSE Training Trust Fund. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled individual looking to grow with an organization.

Organization Overview:
The IATSE Training Trust Fund is a labor management training fund that envisions a workforce with the highest level of training in skills, safety, and craftsmanship, available across the IATSE jurisdiction. Our mission is to promote industry-wide recognized standards for safety, skills, and craftsmanship in the entertainment and exhibition industries by:

  • Providing training that improves existing skills, develops new skills, embraces technological change, and focuses on the safest way to perform the work of the crafts
  • Supporting training opportunities to all employees working under the jurisdiction of the IATSE
  • Developing state-of-the-art training tools, resources, and methods

Responsibilities:

  • Outreach to beneficiaries, local unions and employers for assigned IATSE TTF programs and resources.
  • Implement and track IATSE TTF programs and trainings as assigned (including but not limited to applications processing, training implementation, coordination of course logistics and individual and course tracking).
  • Work closely and communicate with program beneficiaries, local unions, employers and instructors/vendors on the assigned programs/resources.
  • Work in a small team to implement our new training completion badging system.
  • Other projects as assigned by the Executive Director

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: BA
  • Experience: 5+ years working for a labor, training or non-profit organization coordinating and/or implementing programs

Other Skills/Knowledge/Experience Required:

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to connect people with resources
  • Strong writing skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
  • Previous experience in a union environment a plus
  • Previous entertainment industry experience a plus
  • Understanding of Taft Hartley Trust Funds a plus

The IATSE Training Trust Fund is the joint labor management training fund created by the IATSE and its signatory employers. The IATSE is the International Alliance for Theatrical and Stage Employees and is the union representing craftspeople in the entertainment and exhibition industries from stagehands, tradeshow workers and camera operators to costumers, hair and makeup artists, set and stage electricians and grips. The TTF’s participating employers are IATSE signatory employers spanning motion picture and television, live theater, sports broadcast and tradeshows across the US and Canada.
