Summary: SEIU 775 is the long-term care workers union, representing 43,000 home care and nursing home workers. We are a leader in the progressive community and take bold and aggressive approaches to politics and organizing. Our daily work is designed to unite workers, and especially long-term care workers, and to hold politicians accountable for quality care and quality jobs.

The CBER Specialist will join an organization of researchers, specialists, field organizers and lobbyists who support innovative statewide, multi-state and national efforts, in the areas of collective bargaining, legislation and/or regulations, to improve the long-term care industry’s practices with regard to worker wages and benefits, contract negotiations, contract compliance, patient care and public accountability. Work will include collective bargaining, labor/management initiatives, leadership development and representation, and additional responsibilities.

The CBER Specialist:

A Collective Bargaining & Employer Relations Specialist must be able to organize his or her time, and develop and carry out assignments with minimal supervision. S/he must also be able to receive direction from and work in coordination with his or her immediate supervisor, other team members, and other union staff.

Job Qualifications:

Compensation: Staff union pay scale ranges from $51,500 to $70,900, based on experience.
