Based in the Portland, OR

Are you an experienced, effective political organizer with great references?

If so, we need YOU for our robust political program during the upcoming election by doing critical member mobilization and leading our canvass program! The Oregon AFL-CIO represents over 300,000 working Oregonians. Our mission is to improve the lives of our members and all workers, and to raise the standard of living for all Oregonians through collective bargaining, advocacy, and political education and outreach.

This is a full-time temporary position. Position begins July 1st and ends on November 9th. Compensation is $3500-$4500 per month.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Political campaign and/or canvass management experience
• Strong commitment to economic, racial and gender justice
• Detail oriented
• A positive, team-player attitude
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and leadership skills
• Willingness to work evenings and frequent weekends
• Excellent References

Preferred Skills:

• Proficient with VAN, Google Docs and Excel
• Previous experience managing a goal-oriented, successful team
