Assistant Director of Electronic Communications

Based in Harrisburg, PA

PSEA is an education association/labor organization representing 181,000 members, based in downtown Harrisburg, PA. This position is responsible for creating strategy for and managing content on PSEA’s electronic communications and social media platforms, through which the association communicates with PSEA members and the public. PSEA maintains a large, multi-faceted website and makes effective use of the latest innovations on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram in order to promote key messages.

The position requires excellent computer skills, strong written and verbal skills, expertise and experience in web design, and five years of expertise and experience in the use of Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for an organization of similar size. We are seeking candidates who possess a bachelor’s in journalism, communications, public relations or a related field and five years of progressive experience in the use of electronic communications and social media platforms.
