Duties and Responsibilities
This position is supports and assists the Fiscal Department by the maintenance of the membership accounts and provides support as required to ensure operational efficiency. This position provides membership services and benefits, requires the ability to respond efficiently and effectively in a service-oriented environment and adheres to strict deadlines. In addition, this position requires the ability to respond to members, adjust to changes in the work environment, multitasks, have strong communication skills, and maintains a harmonious working relationship with various parties.
Minimum Qualifications
Qualified candidates must have graduated from high school or have a GED. Three (3) years of accounting experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable and/or bookkeeping. Three (3) years of customer service experience. Exceptions may be made at the discretion of the Executive Director regarding equivalent combination of education and experience.
Working knowledge of practices and procedures relating to accounts receivable and/or accounts payable transactions as well as general office operations, arithmetic and standard business correspondences. Qualified candidates must have the ability to be a team-player; maintains the confidentiality of member information; perform rapid and accurate arithmetic calculations; operates a personal computer with Microsoft products and other financial software; understands and applies pertinent statutory and/or contractual provisions; effectively prioritize assignments to meet deadlines; operate and maintain office equipment common to accounting departments; maintain records and files in an easily retrievable, current, and systematic manner; and establish and maintain effective working relationship with others. Qualified candidates must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate in person, on the phone and in writing; and the ability to lift files and/or records of up to 20 pounds.
