Large multiemployer pension plan in Old Town Alexandria, VA is seeking a Reciprocity Analyst to process reciprocal remittance reports; review reciprocal disbursement reports and make corrections to members’ records to ensure proper reciprocity; research and respond to reciprocal inquiries regarding hours and rates; maintain accuracy of member contribution records; and communicate with individual participants, locals and employers to answer questions regarding the accuracy of records.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process reciprocal remittance reports received from multiple sources and enter applicable data in the processing system.
  • Deposit local pension fund remittance checks received. Balance check deposits and provide necessary back-up documents to the Accounting Group.
  • Review reciprocal disbursement reports and member contribution records and make corrections to the appropriate files as needed.
  • Maintain local pension fund rate information and notifies Fund office staff of any rate increases/decreases.
  • Process requests for reciprocal refunds.
  • Answer correspondence and telephone inquiries from travelers and local pension funds regarding hour and rate-related reciprocal questions and other general inquiries related to reciprocal rules and procedures.
  • Communicate with other pension funds and travelers regarding the status of reciprocal contributions.
  • Research and answer Monthly Annual Statement and Annual Hours inquiries.
  • Answer inquiries regarding missing reciprocal contributions.
  • Prepare all applicable documents for imaging

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • College degree or four years related work experience preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and a pleasant and articulate telephone manner
  • Strong personal computer skills including proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills
  • Detail oriented and excellent organizational skills
  • Self-starter, accept responsibility and work independently
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently
  • Strong record of working well with others and maintaining good public and inter-office relations.
  • Work well under pressure

SALARY: $1,866.00 biweekly ($48,516 annually)

HOURS: 8:30AM – 4:30PM, weekdays
