Organization Overview: The Labor-Religion Coalition of New York State unites faith, labor and community in a statewide movement for social, racial, and economic justice, grounded in our deeply held moral and democratic values.

Job Description: The Executive Director of the Labor-Religion Coalition of NYS reports directly to the Coalition’s Board of Directors. The expectation is that the Executive Director will be based out of the Capital Region. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee and ensure quality in programming, finance and administration, fundraising, communications, and organizational systems.
- Strong ability to develop and oversee implementation of a fundraising plan; initiate and cultivate relationships with current and potential funders and donors.
- In collaboration with the board, develop and articulate organizational goals and priorities.
- Actively engage current and potential labor, faith-based and community partners throughout New York.
- Develop and maintain a strong and active Board of Directors.
- Recruit, develop and retain staff.
- Publicly represent Labor-Religion Coalition through speaking and media engagements.
- Develop and oversee implementation of programming, including participation in coalitions, issue campaigns, educational programming and workshops, and base-building.
- Organization and leadership of the annual conference.
- Oversee external communications, including email, social media, web site, and mailings.
- Manage financial operations including preparation of financial statements, records, reports, budget process and controls.
- Manage day-to-day functions including payroll, bookkeeping, banking and correspondence
- Manage human resources functions.
Compensation: Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. A competitive benefit package is included.
