Senior Social Media Associate

The National Air Traffic Controllers Association, AFL-CIO (“NATCA”) is seeking a Senior Social Media Associate to work at the Union’s National Office in Washington, DC. The Senior Social Media Associate will perform a variety of functions to ensure effective communication of organizational issues and concerns, both internally and externally. The individual will be responsible for planning and executing social media/digital medial strategies and tactics across all platforms to advance NATCA’s overall reputation, public policy, and membership/event marketing goals. This position serves as an on-the-record digital spokesperson. She/he must stay current with the quickly evolving digital universe.

Skills Required
Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university and at least five (5) years of professional public relations experience with specific emphasis on social and digital communication.

Skill Desired
Excellent writing and editing skills, particularly short-form (tweets and posts); expertise using digital delivery and analytical/metrics tools, such as HootSuite and Sprout Social; and an ability to work collaboratively and thrive in a close-knit team environment.
