Membership Development Coordinator

Based in Conshohocken, with travel throughout the state, PA

Working in tandem with Organizers and Staff Representatives, the Membership Development Coordinator ensures that local bargaining units continuously develop with respect to maximizing union membership, PAC participation and fair share compliance. Produce regular reports on membership development, PAC participation and fair share compliance. Establish relationships with administrative employer counterparts in order to resolve problems in dues/fair share compliance.

In addition, the Membership Development Coordinator works with staff to maximize the union’s utilization of Broadstripes and other membership tracking software. Finally, the Membership Development Coordinator assists with regulatory compliance, primarily involving Form 990 reporting to the IRS and, where needed, LM reporting to the Department of Labor.

Position Requirements: Organizing and/or Staff Representative experience strongly preferred. Working knowledge of Broadstripes and/or other data base software programs required.

Salary: $65,000 – $78,000, depending on experience.
