Purpose of the Position:
With shared vision and purpose we will drive organizational change and effectiveness through a focus on staff and team development, accountability, and equity and inclusion.
Drive organization systems change and technology upgrades related to employer and member data. Provide day to day supervision and leadership for our Membership Department; including managing the work flow of team members, training, mentorship, staff development, support and accountability.
Duties that must be performed to accomplish the purpose of the position:
- Provide day to day supervision and leadership for our Membership Department; including managing the work flow of team members, training, mentorship, staff development, support and accountability.
- Baseline union Membership Department work, backfill all aspects of team members work, union deductions and cancellation processing, employer data loads, exceptions, employer/ vendor contract administration, employer submissions and auditing procedures.
- Build and continually refine accounts receivable systems to track and report money in processes.
- Strengthen and build new systems to better track membership communications, data quality, auditing, out-going and in-coming mail returns.
- Produce monthly and on-going performance reports around membership, new hire outreach communications, mail returns and other union-wide analytics as needed.
- Develop and maintain departmental and union-wide Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that ensure timelines are met, legal compliance and Quality Assurance (QA) measures.
- Support coordination and collaboration between Membership, Information Systems, Accounting, Data– and other teams throughout our union.
- Utilize project management approaches and systems to maintain on-going work, in addition to special projects or campaigns.
- Be a part of the team working to drive organizational change, develop new systems and technology.
- Ability and desire to work on campaigns, membership drives and other efforts to build power for working families that align with the mission our union.
Working Conditions/Environment:
Office and field work involving travel to areas represented throughout the state and in a variety of environmental situations. The workweek is Monday through Friday plus weekend work as needed. The workday may begin and extend beyond normal office hours depending on the demands of the position.
