Accreditations and Certifications

oBand® has been granted "Full Approval" and is officially recognized as an "American College of Surgeons Level Outpatient Accredited Bariatric Center." In addition, our staff has been commended by the American College of Surgeons Bariatric Surgery Center Network (ACS BSCN) and our institution has been recognized for providing high quality care to our patients undergoing bariatric surgery. Our surgery centers are also accredited by JACHO, the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.

oBand® is proud to be a BSCN facility. The American College of Surgeons has developed a Bariatric Surgery Center Network Accreditation Program to foster high quality surgical care for patients who undergo bariatric surgery. The program manual (see hyperlink below) describes the necessary physical resources, human resources, clinical standards, surgeon credentialing standards, data reporting standards, and verification/approval processes required for the designation of American College of Surgeons Bariatric Surgery Centers.
