Has anyone gone through the trouble of buying and using a laptop to type up minutes for membership meetings and steering committees, etc.?
What about using a digital recording device?
How do you retain your minutes?
TIA. |

| Voice recorders are best, they can be transcribed later and put in written form. There are laws, state by state, about using them without others approval. |

We ended up getting a laptop, and then it got stolen.
The voice recorder is still another option. I guess people are afraid of it getting stolen or lost.
I guess one key to good minutes is getting the key ideas and making sure, if anything else, the exact motions and votes are written well. |
