Connecticut Operations Director

Working Families is searching for a Connecticut Operations Director who can manage the administrative and financial responsibilities of CT Working Families. This position will also work to revamp our fundraising program, while creating and updating systems that will allow the office to run efficiently and effectively support the work of the CT staff.


  • Craft and execute an effective fundraising plan, working in conjunction with the CT Executive Director
  • Receive and process all contributions for deposit
  • Process all invoices and prepare check requests to be approved
  • Ensure CT Working Families is in compliance with state and federal laws: file monthly FEC reports, quarterly SEEC reports, monthly lobbying reports and any special reports
  • Provide administrative support to canvass operation: data entry, process deposits, prepare materials, arrange transportation, approve timesheets and recruitment
  • Assist with event planning and preparations, staff events when needed
  • Serve as liaison to office vendors
  • Other duties, as required

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and effectively juggle multiple projects
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage the technical aspects of a project such as paperwork, deadlines, etc.
  • Strong follow- through and self- direction on assignments
  • Ability to take initiative
  • Excellent problem solving skills, ability to anticipate and respond quickly and effectively to challenges
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft programs, Google Drive, Gmail, Salesforce)
  • Familiarity with SEEC, FEC and OSE filing systems recommended, but not required
  • Minimum of two years’ experience working in a similar capacity
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel
